Sorry dude, but DSG isn't a manual...there I said it...

Sorry Ikey...but DSG IS a manual. It's more manual with auto mode then auto with manual mode. Sorry bro, but Formula 1 drivers don't drive Autos.

For the sake of argument, f1 cars have a hand operated clutch for starting the motor or letting it run while standing still, they also will not shift themselves. So I'd say dsg is alot closer to an auto then a manual or f1 car.

Basically the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) is a development of the Sequential Manual Transmission which is a fully automated Manual Transmission. They just made it Dual Clutch for faster shift times.

The Verdict: It's still an automatic.
